About the Founder

Melissa is a registered nurse, former Infection Control Preventionist, and the creator of the deterministic UTI clinical reasoning engine behind MBF Clinical Solutions. Her work focuses on improving diagnostic consistency, reducing unnecessary antibiotic use, and strengthening clinical workflows through explainable, evidence-aligned decision support.

A Deterministic Approach to Clinical Decision Support

Melissa's philosophy is that clinical decision support must be explainable, repeatable, and aligned with evidence. The MBF deterministic engine identifies inappropriate testing, distinguishes ASB from true infection, reduces unnecessary antibiotic exposure, stabilizes upstream signals for AI reasoning, and provides clear, auditable logic pathways clinicians can trust.

Professional Background

  • Infection Control Prevention

Mission

MBF Clinical Solutions exists to bring deterministic clarity to one of the most inconsistently evaluated conditions in healthcare. Melissa's mission is to partner with AI developers, CDS teams, and clinical organizations to integrate stable, explainable UTI reasoning into tools clinicians use every day.

Full logic pathways, architecture, and deterministic reasoning structures are shared only under NDA.
